Sesame Street composer charged with distributing child porn pictures of naked four-year-old girl in handcuffs

An Emmy award-winning composer who wrote music for Sesame Street and Disney has been arrested for distributing child porn pictures of a four-year-old girl in handcuffs.

Cuban-born Fernando Rivas, 59, was arraigned on charges of coercing a child ‘to engage in sexually explicit conduct and distribution of child pornography in South Carolina on Monday.

Rivas who was educated at New York’s Julliard School, was arrested at his Charleston home on April 19 following a police investigation.

Fernando Brazier, 28, left a note at the front desk of the hotel, where he had spent the first night with his new wife, telling her where his body could be found.

He was then seen leaving the Radisson Hotel in New Rochelle, New York around 9am on Sunday and climbing into a taxi.

Media Trackers, a Mequon-based nonprofit that does political research targeting liberals, released records showing that 36 people were registered to vote using the address of Mama Delta’s Lovehouse, a group home and homeless shelter run by Lena J. Taylor. The home is at 1018 N. 35th St., property that is owned by the senator and next door to her law office.

Of the 36 registered voters at that address, about 20 voted in the April 5 election for county executive and a state Supreme Court seat, records show. And 11 of those individuals registered to vote on election day.

A teacher at a troubled residential school for vulnerable children could be struck off amid allegations he lined his pupils up against a gym wall and hit golf balls at them.

James McMenemy is also said to have hurled rocks at the teenagers and thrown them into rivers and streams.

The incidents allegedly happened at Kerelaw residential school in Ayrshire, which looked after children with significant emotional, social and behavioural problems.

It was closed amid a police probe into abuse in 2006. Mr McMenemy is facing 15 charges of violence towards pupils and failing to comply with guidelines.

One charge brought by the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) claims he threatened to make false allegations of criminality against the youngsters.

At a competency hearing this week a former pupil, now a prisoner at Barlinnie, told how he was attacked by the 48-year-old teacher.

Daniel Higgins, who the GTCS heard was in custody for a driving offence, arrived in handcuffs to give evidence against Mr McMenemy.
