White House backs Republican’s jobs bill

Signaling a brief spark of bipartisanship in Washington, the White House on Tuesday said it backs House Republicans’ effort to repeal a 3 percent withholding tax on government contractors, which is part of the GOP’s own job-creation push.

The White House said repealing the withholding will leave businesses with more cash to invest and create jobs at a time when the economy is still struggling.

The Beach Of The Dead Brighton Zombie Walk, now in its fifth year, saw men, women and children don imaginative costumes and elaborate make-up, creating a gruesome sight for onlookers.

Steve Jobs ‘received a late night phone call from Bill Clinton asking how to handle the Monica Lewinsky scandal’

The no-holds barred biography of Steve Jobs has revealed that former president Bill Clinton consulted the Apple boss on what to do about his affair with Monica Lewinsky during a late night tete-a-tete.

Jobs reportedly replied: ‘I don’t know if you did it, but if so, you’ve got to tell the country.’

According to his biographer Walter Isaacson, after Jobs delivered his advice: ‘There was silence on the other end of the line.’

Streaker posing as a referee sends football game into chaos as confused players start brawl

When a man dressed as a referee streaked across the field at a college football game it caused so much confusion that the opposing teams started fighting.

The University of Arizona was hosting UCLA at Tucson when the man dressed in a full referee kit stepped onto the field just before half time on Thursday.

The streaker made his way from the stands to the side line and took off his tracksuit to reveal the referee clothes. Read More:
