CBS Atlanta News brings in a private investigator wielding a pop-science, high-tech gizmo to figure out who’s lying in the Herman Cain case. Finally, someone’s gotten to the indisputable truth of the matter.

CBS Atlanta News recruited private investigator T.J. Ward “who specializes in lie detection through voice recognition software” to use his gadget to study Tuesday’s speeches by Herman Cain and his accuser, Sharon Bialek.

“It’s very scientific,” the CBS Atlanta reporter declares, setting up the segment.

In the interview, Ward shows how his voice-recognition lie detector assesses the veracity of Cain’s profession of innocence and Bialek’s account of events and alleged harassment.

The good news: Cain’s telling the truth and his accuser isn’t…if you believe Ward’s “scientific” analysis.
